Updates on Elle....and some tub time too!

Sweet Elle has had a rough couple of weeks.  Lots of doctor visits, long nights, and painful shots.  At moments like that it's easy to lose focus.  At least it was for me.  I all too quickly placed my eyes solely on the problem, the worry, and desperation for answers.  Google became my best friend in the middle of the night when sleep just wasn't coming.  FINALLY - and I do mean finally- God got my attention in the midst of the worry and reminded me that this Elle that we call our own....she's really HIS!  He loves her with a love more fierce than I could ever imagine.  He has great and wonderful plans for her - no matter how many days she's on loan to us.  It's a privilege to be her Mom, but HE is her sovereign and perfect Heavenly Father.
"For [her] whole life [she] will be given over to the Lord."
1 Samuel 1:28
We got a call from the doctor today that her blood work seems to be normal and all is well.  We are so very thankful and praising Him for His goodness.  It is my sincere hope, though, that had the news been different, we would have had the faith to praise Him for that outcome too.
"I am still confident of this: I will see the GOODNESS of the Lord in the land of the living.  Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."
-Psalm 27:13-14
We've learned a thing or two about waiting this week....but thankful that He's there in the waiting, in the rejoicing, and even in the tears!

Now to the fun part....the pictures of our happy, happy girl who loves life and gives us SO much joy!  {especially during bath time}

Elle's in the Double Digits

.. and where in the world did time go?
If this is what everyone means by "it'll fly by," I get it now.  I really does - in every sense of the word.
I can hardly believe our sweet girl is nearing a year old.  It feels like just yesterday that we were sitting in the doctors office when they told us to go right to the hospital to welcome little Elle into the world.
Though I'm sad to see time fly, it's also SO much fun to see what's around the next corner with Elle.  She continually becomes more full of life, more joyful, and SO much more filled with personality.

To celebrate her birthday in style, her Grandfather Wes and I took her to Lazy 5 Ranch.
She was THRILLED by the whole experience.

And the best part of the day was meeting her great - grandparents for lunch!  She put on quite the show for these two.

 In other Elle adventures....
She spent Labor Day at the pool with Mama and Daddy!

Had her first official guitar lesson,

Had many lunch dates with friends,

and even spent Saturday morning in her PJ's at the farmers market!
She got doughnuts and flowers- what more could a girl want??

Love to you all from our little family to yours!
