"Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thess. 5:16-18
We have so much to be thankful for! Our little family has been abundantly blessed this year with an easy pregnancy, a healthy baby girl, a family that loves fiercely, and friends who have wrapped their arms around us and reminded us what it looks like to be the hands and feet of Christ. In the midst of our abundance, though, it is our prayer that we will be a blessing to others this holiday season and always turn back to praise our Heavenly Father, the giver of all good gifts!
Sweet little Elle's first Thanksgiving was just perfect. She finally got to meet her Aunt Belle and Uncle Mattie. It was love at first sight for this little niece:
These two were inseparable all weekend! I even caught them snuggled up napping together one morning. Elle was in heaven! Sweet girl loves a good cuddle.
She was captivated by her Uncle Mattie as well. His funny noises made her face light up like we've never seen. We tried to imitate them after he left, but she just looked at us like we were crazy.
He's got the magic!
We're so very thankful that Elle has baby girl cousin on the way to spend summers with in Fairhope.
Baby Dykema makes her debut in late February and we couldn't be more thrilled to meet Elle's best friend!
No turkey for Elle this year; but she did get lots of lovin' and her own spot at the table next to Pops:
No TV needed this weekend, we all just stared at sweet girl's little faces:
Waking up happy just like her Daddy!
Anna & Matt gave her the sweetest rocking sheep.
She looks a bit scared of it now; but I know she'll love it soon.
In the meantime, she's loving her sheep Wubba from cousin Emily.
{"Lambie" as we call her has saved our life on many occasions so far!}
The Thanksgiving festivities didn't end there.
Ellery got to spend Saturday evening with Mimi's family, meeting Pam, Joe, Jaime & Rafael for the first time!
Though she wasn't any luck to 'Bama that night,
we had a blast with Michael's sweet family!
Probably worried about Auburn's field goal return at this point.
In other news...
Elle had her first shopping trip this week (Mama's girl already!)
Miss Ellery Gray also went OUT to dinner for the very first time
with a very handsome dinner date!
At the end of a wonderfully busy week, we have to pause again and thank God for His many blessings!
We are thankful. Thankful, indeed!
"O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker."
Psalm 95:1-6
